Our January Calendar is Live!
January events, holiday hours, and more!
Hey friend!
Big changes are coming to Drawing Room! Read below to learn all about our new Open Hours, volunteer-led gatherings, a coat drive, and a chance to explore the Met Opera.
With the new year comes many exciting updates, one being our very first year added to our belt! Happy Birthday to us 🥳 A big celebration is brewing, so expect an invitation soon! Thank you for joining us on this wild and creative journey. We look forward to another year of fun with you all!
Main highlights
Drawing Room has partnered with the Met Opera to bring you a truly enchanting field trip spring 2025. As you stay tuned for that, our friends at the Met want to give you a sneak peak into the opera house—offering our community a special discount for their upcoming holiday production, Magic Flute! Here’s a little more about the show: Mozart’s enchanting musical fairy tale returns in the Met’s abridged, English-language production by Broadway legend Julie Taymor. With dazzling puppets and a spectacularly vibrant setting, the Met’s Magic Flute is one of the city’s ultimate seasonal sensations for family audiences. On stage December 12-January 4. Use code NYCMAGIC for 20% off tickets. |
Do you have a craft, project, or skill you are dying to share with the Drawing Room community? We'd love to hear about it! We are opening up two slots per month (the third and fourth Thursday from 7pm-9pm, during Open Hours) for volunteers to host their own gathering at Drawing Room. A great way to lead, get feedback, and spread the joy! |
Winter is officially here and it’s chilly! So here’s a reminder that Drawing Room has organized a Community Coat Drive, aiming to provide as much warmth as possible to those in need. If you’d like to help, drop off new or gently used coats at our donation box in the entryway during open hours. You’ll receive a special stamp for your donation! (Limited to max one stamp per week) Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! We have reached our first full box, which will be headed out to folks in need soon! |
