Our December Calendar is Live!

Hi friend!

Zoe clocking in here! Some of you may know me as the host always munching on cookies during Writers’ Tea Parties or losing constantly on Saturday game nights (I will win one day), but I’ll also be writing our newsletters going forward. I am ecstatic to e-meet you all and share all the goodies we have in-store for December! One of which is the official launch of our blog—The Cozy Corner! Make sure to stay tuned for that email 🤭

With December almost here, we’ll soon be welcoming in 2025 and Drawing Room’s first anniversary! Can you believe it?! We want to thank you all for this unbelievably magical year. We could not have made it this far without the warmth and love the community has received us with. As the year closes out, we hope Drawing Room continues to be a cozy, safe space—especially with the added cheer and magic of our holiday programming!

Open Hours this month
As usual, we’re open every day except Mondays. Bring your lunch, laptop, project, friends, date, a birthday cake, whatever and get creative, read, play games, or just get some work done! Did you know you can reserve a table for up to 8 people? Make a reservation or walk-in.

• Tuesdays: 10am-6pm (Cereal 4 Breakfast starting 11am)

• Wednesdays: 10am-6pm (Lunch Break Puzzles starting 1pm)

• Thursdays: 10am-10pm (Writers’ Tea Party starting 2:30pm)

• Fridays: 10am-11pm (Movie Night starting 8:30pm)

• Saturdays: 12-11pm ( Game Night starting 7pm)

• Sundays: 12-9pm

Special hours:

• Thurs, Dec 5: Open Hours end at 4pm due to a private event.

• Drawing Room will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve

And, our regulars are also on the calendar for December with a holiday twist!

• For the Love of Drawing: Holiday Edition! - Tues, Dec 3: For this edition of For the Love of Drawing, we'll be doing some fun holiday-themed drawings and working with great materials from Caran d'Ache—our partner in providing you top quality supplies for a great experience!

• Claydate: Ornaments & Gifts - Wed, Dec 4: This is a great opportunity to make one-of-a-kind holiday ornaments and handmade gifts! You’ll learn the fundamentals of ceramic hand-building with instructor Aubrey Aiese. Paint it with ceramic underglaze in the same session to add illustrations or patterns. We’ll fire and glaze it for you; ready for pickup in 3-4 weeks.

• Carve & Print: Holiday Aprons - Mon, Dec 9: We’ll learn how to design and carve our own stamps, ink them with brayers and fabric ink, then apply them as prints to aprons. You’ll be ready to tackle holiday dinners and/or cookie baking in no time! They also make great gifts!

• Charm Meet: Matching Bracelets - Wed, Dec 11: Pick out your favorite charms from our huge collection and make one-of-a-kind charm bracelets with friends! We’ll show you how to assemble.

• Color in Flow: Holiday Cards - Sat, Dec 14: We'll learn the techniques of watercolor painting, then our "final products" will be beautiful hand-painted greeting cards you can write in this holiday season to give to your loved ones (and maybe one to yourself)!

• Pen to Paper - Sun, Dec 15: Learn the basics of crafting a story and adding dimension to your writing. We’ll play with the seasonality of life and use words to examine the many transitions we often must navigate. This will be a safe space for reflection and creative expression without judgment. 

• Holiday Collage Potluck - Wed, Dec 18: A potluck of collage supplies! Come collage and show-and-tell your merry creations with Drawing Room’s collage community. We'll listen to holiday classics and special surfaces like cards will be available, perfect for gifting!
